Get to Know Me!

Hello, and welcome to my corner! This is a little space where I thought I’d introduce myself—not just as the writer behind the words, but as the person who collects the moments that become my poetry.

✍️ The World Through a Writer's Lens

At my core, I am a poet. My brain often runs like a carefully curated gallery of fleeting thoughts, strong emotions, and striking images. I am naturally introspective and spend a lot of time observing the subtle dance of life.

  • The Art of Observation: I find myself drawn to the quiet details: the way light filters through a window, the sound of rain, or the texture of an old book. These small, often-missed moments are the sparks for my verses.

  • A Love for Language: Words are my truest medium. I am fascinated by the power of language—how a few carefully chosen words can evoke a deep memory or a powerful feeling. My poetry tends to be lyrical and immersive, inviting the reader to step fully into the emotional landscape of the piece.

🌳 Inherited Themes and Inspirations

The themes in my work, particularly the focus of my upcoming collection, Chronic Inheritance (out December 26th, 2025!), say a lot about what occupies my thoughts.

  • Connection and Legacy: I am deeply interested in how the past shapes the present. My writing often explores the things we inherit—not just physical items, but memories, habits, and emotional patterns that thread through generations.

  • Pastel Palettes and Nature's Calm: I have a strong aesthetic preference for soft, pastel colors and natural settings, which often appear in my visual inspirations. . There’s a calming, almost ethereal quality to these tones that reflects the emotional nuance I try to capture in my poems. I find immense peace and inspiration walking among trees and watching the ever-changing cycles of nature.

☕ Comforts and Creative Fuel

When I’m not writing, you can often find me engaging in things that fuel my creative spirit:

  • Reading: I am an avid reader, constantly seeking out other poets and writers who can teach me new ways to frame a thought or turn a phrase.

  • Quiet Contemplation: I need moments of stillness. Whether it’s journaling, meditating, or simply sitting with a warm cup of coffee or tea, these quiet times are essential for processing the world and translating it into poetry.

  • Connecting with the Community: I cherish connecting with others who appreciate the same depth and sensitivity in art. Your feedback and connection are what make this solitary pursuit worthwhile!

Thank you again for reading and for being a part of this creative journey. I’m so excited for what’s ahead!
